A gas has an initial volume of 212 cm^3 at a temperature of 293 K and a pressure of 0.98 atm. What is the final pressure of the gas if the volume decreases to 196 cm^3 and the temperature of the gas increases to 308 K?

This can be solved by using one of the different gas laws. This is shown below: PV / T Given: P1 = 0.98 atm V1 = 212 cm^3 T1 = 293 K P2 = ? V2 = 196 cm^3 T2 = 308K Substituting to the relation: P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2 (0.98 * 212)/293 = (P2 * 196)/308 P2 = 1.114 atm
