In a meter there are 100 cm. In 100 cm there are 1000 mm.  Therefore in 1 meter you have 1000 millimeters.  Then to find out how many millimeters you have in 14 meters, you just multiply 14 by 1000 to give you 14000 mm. Final answer= 14 m of gold wire is the equivalent to 14000 mm of wire.
