anita jared and steph are rock climbing. anita is 42 1/2 feet below jared. steph is 67 3/4 feet above anita. what is stephs position compared to jared? please show your work!

Work: Jared is between Anita and Steph 67[latex] \frac{3}{4} [/latex]  -  42[latex] \frac{1}{2} [/latex] Turn  [latex] \frac{1}{2} [/latex]  into  [latex] \frac{2}{4} [/latex] Now 67[latex] \frac{3}{4} [/latex]  -  42[latex] \frac{2}{4} [/latex] Do 67 - 42 first to make it easier 67 - 42 = 25 Then do  [latex] \frac{3}{4} [/latex]  -  [latex] \frac{2}{4} [/latex] [latex] \frac{3}{4} [/latex]  -  [latex] \frac{2}{4} [/latex]  =  [latex] \frac{1}{4} [/latex] Then add the two back together to get 25[latex] \frac{1}{4} [/latex] Remember that Steph is above Jared though. Answer: Steph is 25[latex] \frac{1}{4} [/latex]  feet above Jared.
