Describe Pluto. What connotations lie in the fact the narrator names his first cat Pluto? Explain the significance of this name and how it may serve as foreshadowing.

If you mean Pluto as in the Roman god, he is usually seen as a lord of the underworld and the dead or spirits. Going off that, this could show how the cat may have a deeper connection with dead or the spiritual word (but then again, I don't know the text). This could be foreshadowing to the cat understanding more the human would since Pluto could have a deeper understanding of life and justice than any other god. However, if we are talking about the planet, perhaps it is a metaphor for how the cat was a runt or has been rejected by many. It would explain a lot since Pluto was a planet in the beginning but was later redeemed as not a planet.
