Start of Essay: In the poem "Song of the Open Road" by Walt Whitman, (1819- 1882) he sees himself as a carefree and light-hearted person that is eager to start his new adventure. He is content with his future and does not wish for anything more. He beautifully describes the Earth's constellations will not set foot to his destiny as they are stars, but his soul will reveal his destiny. He is a path taker, a woken soul- he sees himself as of great fortune, and cares less of materialism- as society desires. He is in a good path-the middle path-not wealthy nor poor, fully enlightened around his world, as he proudly walks the brown road- the path to pure freedom, no criticism, no deep desire for money-"society's flaw." He sees the light at the end of the tunnel, carrying a burden of men and women, powerfully symbolizing that their will be no suffering in the world, that all are awake, spirituality and in mind. There are no wars fought , no stories to sugar-coat, and people become free.
