Isolate y, so subtract 13 from both sides. 7- minus 13 is -20. So that leaves us with -20 equals y.

First you change it into slope intercept form. Subtract y to both side. -y-7=13 Then you add 7 to both side. -y=7+13 Y can't be negative so you multiply -1 to both side. y=-7-13 y=-20
