some times we need to break in a different shapes to solve for area that makes two triangles and 1 rectangle (Hope i could have elaborated this by a fig) if u see upper part two triangle can be formed with height of 6m and base 15m area of the first triangle 1/2*b*h 1/2*6*15=45 m^2 another traingle has h=6 b=16 area =1/2*6*16=48 m^2 now only rectangle left area of rectangle is l*w=9*16=144m^2 add the all =45+48+144=237m^2
