I'm a bit rusty on symmetry, so I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there are 2 types: radial and bilateral. Bilateral symmetry is symmetric on one line, so something like a isosceles triangle. Radial symmetry is where there are multiple lines of symmetry, such as a star(fish). Hope this helps :)
