The function p(x) = –2(x – 9)2 + 100 is used to determine the profit on T-shirts sold for x dollars. What would the profit from sales be if the price of the T-shirts were $15 apiece?

Simple..... plug n chug! p(x)=[latex]-2(x-9)^{2} +100[/latex] p(15)= [latex]-2(15-9)^{2} +100[/latex] p(15)= [latex]-2(6)^{2} +100[/latex] p(15)= [latex]-2(36)+100 [/latex] p(15)= -72+100 p(15)= 28 28..there was a profit. Thus, your answer.
