Which blood vessels carry blood away from the heart? I thought it was arteries, and I checked on the internet and the websites also say it is arteries but the answer in the book says veins. i have checked and re-checked that I haven read it properly and it says veins so could it be possible that the book has a mistake. It is the AQA Biology Revision Guide Or have I just completely misunderstood the question or the whole concept??? please explain thanks for reading my confused thoughts

Arteries are the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart. Veins are the blood vessels that carry blood back to the heart.
