a. A dramatic increase in women's participation in the workforce During the Industrial Revolution, more jobs were open to women, such as working in the textile factories. When women had jobs, they were able to earn their own money and become more independent. They also saw the men growing dependent on their labor, as they could do jobs males couldn't. This led them to start arguing for their rights.
