why does wild geese migrate in winter

(2) Answers

Wild geese migrate in winter to the south, where it is warmer and there is more food during the winter.

Wild geese migrate during the winter to find food in warmer climates.  During the winter they don’t have access to what they eat like wheat, barley and grain as well as microorganisms that they eat from streams and lakes.  They go back when the winter season is over.
